adidas N-5923

2017-11-28
adidas N-5923We'd like to show you the newest member of the adidas Originals family, the adidas N-5923. This sneaker is a descendant of the classic running shoes, made by the German brand, in the '70s. It's also a reference to a recently shown adidas Iniki model, which name comes from Hawaiian language and means hurricane winds or a break-up after a heartbreak. In itself, it's highly interesting what was the designer's motivation to name it that way.

But, let's focus on today's subject, which is the adidas N-5923 and the difference between the said model and adidas Iniki. Above all else, we don't have here a Boost outsole, for which 2017 was certainly crucial. The upper did undergo a significant weight loss thanks to the mesh panels being welded together. Another thing gone are the suede elements in the forefoot area and by the laces.

Mesh used to craft the upper might look delicate but it holds the foot in a sure grip and it's highly durable, partly due to the elastic heel counter reinforcement. Despite the fact that these are running shoes, their silhouette and the 3 contrasting stripes on the side provide a classic look. The cushioning in adidas N-5923 is handled by the massive midsole, while the profile of the tread makes them highly universal, can be used on any terrain. Last but not least, the classic golden name of the model which appeared on the side of the upper adds a bit of spice to the design.

Premiere is set for 30 November. Available in our shop a few days earlier ;)
